- for students who will enroll in approved summer or fall study abroad program
- must be English major with minimum overall grade point average of 3.0
- financial need, though not a requirement, taken into consideration

- award of approximately $1,800
- for students innovative in the way they combine their major with extracurricular opportunities
- must be English major at sophomore or junior level with minimum overall grade point average of 3.0.
- renewable up to a maximum of two years after initial award
