Evgeniya Monico’s Review of Crazyhorse No. 92

As some of you may–or may not–know, when our esteemed Creative Writing faculty aren’t busy being fabulous teachers and writers, they’re hard at work editing the literary magazine Crazyhorse.

For those in the know, the reputation of Crazyhorse precedes itself. Work printed in the pages of Crazyhorse has been reprinted in a number of anthologies, including: Best American PoetryBest American Short StoriesBest American Nonrequired Reading, and The Pushcart Prize.

The Fall 2017 issue, no. 92, was recently reviewed by Evgeniya Monico for NewPages, where she describes “the wonderland of prose and poetry” published in Crazyhorse no. 92 as “truth, our guiding ‘light’ through art and life.”

Monico’s review is certainly a credit to the continued quality of Crazyhorse as well as the editorial vision–and labor–of Heinen, Lott, Rosko, Jackson, Varrallo, Drager, and Minar.

A selection of stories, poems, and essays published in the Fall 2017 issue are available online through the Crazyhorse website.
