Film Studies Open House – Monday, October 21

On Monday, Oct. 21 at 6:30 p.m., the CofC Film Studies faculty will host an open house in Beatty Center room 218. The open house will be an opportunity for CofC students to learn more about the film studies minor and to meet the film studies faculty. It will be a good opportunity to ask questions about course offerings as well as to hear how a film studies minor can pay off down the road in your career. We will have pizza, snacks, and pop, so plan on eating with us.

At 7 p.m., we’ll start our usual film club meeting and screening. Monday’s screening will be Dead Man (1995), a psychedelic Western starring Johnny Depp, Billy Bob Thornton, and Iggy Pop. Sound track by Neil Young. The movie is something like rock-n-roll meets the wild West. Bring your friends–anyone who is interested in film studies or the film club is totally welcome!
