Elaina Cole, to represent CofC Film Studies at SCMS-U conference!

Congratulations to Elaina Cole (CofC ’18), whose paper proposal, “Teenage Wasteland: the 1980s Teen Comedy as a Revitalized Screwball Comedy,” was accepted to the upcoming Society for Cinema and Media Studies Undergraduate Conference! This is an extraordinary accomplishment, as the SCMS-U is extremely competitive (only 30 proposals are accepted!). The proposal selections were made by a panel comprised of film studies faculty at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where the conference will be held, April 14-17. Cheers to all those who submitted a proposal, because a conference as competitive as this means the panel members were forced to decline some pretty high-caliber papers.
