The Student Film Club will meet and screen its next film of this semester’s film series: “Directors and Their Muses.” The film is Christopher Guest’s Waiting for Guffman (1996), and stars a bevvy of actors and actresses who inspire Guest (and each other), including Eugene Levy, Fred Willard, Catherine O’Hara, and Parker Posey. It is rumored that Guffman, a well-known Broadway theatre critic, will be paying a visit to the small town of Blaine, Missouri to see its production of “Red, White, and Blaine.” Are the performers ready? Will they impress? Join us tomorrow night for some of the most inspired improvisational comic acting ever captured on the big screen.
