The Avery Center has organized a three-day film series entitled “Grass Roots: Gullah, Culture, Survivals,” featuring films about the history, art, culture, and challenges of the Gullah community. The series will take place at the McKinley Washington Auditorum, at 125 Bull St., from 6:00pm to 9:00pm on Friday, October 24, Saturday, October 25, and Saturday, November 1.
