There’s a new semester upon us (already?) and the Film Club is preparing for what could turn out to be its busiest and most exciting semester yet. Plans for the 2nd Annual Student Film Festival have begun (perhaps you have seen these flyers around campus). If you are interested in participating as a volunteer, or if you have questions about the festival, contact Jesse Berger. Also on the Film Club’s agenda is the Great American Director Series. The date and times for the films are TBD, but you can expect a pretty long list of films by directors such as Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola, David Lynch, Nicholas Ray, Alfred Hitchcock, Spike Lee, John Ford, Preston Sturges, and Sidney Lumet (to name but a few). The last item on the Film Club’s agenda is yet another trip to the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival in Durham, North Carolina.
