Years ago, when my friend Pat and I considered a business to creating websites, we came up with the idea of a domain called SCWebJunkies.com. Of course, we didn’t go with that name because as professionals, we knew the name does not sound serious. Yet, I still consider myself to be a pixel junkie. I want to hug each and every pixel on the screen because pixels matter!
I do muse about design and pixels far too much. This might not be manifested in the quality of my work, but it’s true. When I read material of all kinds, I tend to do it with a critical eye on its design. When I used to read magazines, the tendency was even more regular. Sometimes it is hard to absorb what I’m supposed to be reading because I’m noticing the layout and design too much.
