Thursday was also a very long and busy day. We left San Jose and headed to Playa Hermosa in Guanacaste. Since we visited 3 companies on Wednesday, we had to write 2-page reports for each company. Finished it in the 6-hour car ride to Playa Hermosa. We got there and it was beautiful. We ate some ceviche at a nice restaurant on the beach and hung out. Finally, we went to a really nice restaurant for dinner, which was actually at the hotel that the group usually stays at when they visit

Wednesday was a very long day. We had 3 company visits. To start the long day, we walked into the business center to see a car parked inside one of the shops next door. There had been a huge accident and an old man drove his car through one of the shops in the center. Very interesting way to start the morning. The first 2 company visits were very interesting, but I do wish they had given us a tour of the place. The third visit was my favorite. We went to visit a company called “Videndum”. It was a factory that basically creates tripods and camera heads. It was super interesting and I enjoyed getting to see all the machines and how they managed their operations. It was a long, but fun day. Finally, we ended the night by getting some dinner with the group and having a good time.

Tuesday was a very eventful day. I woke up Tuesday morning at 5 AM and headed to the airport in Charleston, where I met Dr. G, Jack and Lauren. From there, we flew to Atlanta, where Joe was meeting us. Finally, from Atlanta, we headed to San Jose, Costa Rica. Santiago and Emma were waiting for us there. Fatima met up with us later at night. Immigration was a mess as we had to wait more than an hour to get through. Eventually, we made it. We got in the car and headed to the rental car place. I’m pretty sure we passed Fiesta Casino about 4 times on the way there. We got the rental car and headed to the hotel. Again, did about about 10 laps around “the church”, which actually wasn’t “the church”. After a while, we made it to the hotel! From there, we went to an amazing pizza place, and also had some drinks to start the trip. It was a good time to meet the group. After that, we hung out before heading for dinner. Dinner was amazing. It was Dr. G’s friend’s restaurant and we also got to meet Dr. G’s son. The ceviche was by far my favorite dish. After dinner, we headed back to the hotel and called it a night.
