Job Description
This position is designed to provide individuals with basic knowledge of the insurance industry and to provide insight into the functions of an independent insurance sales consultant, manager AND Territory Recruiter.

The ideal candidate for this position is enthusiastic, career-minded, self-motivated individual with a proven record of professionalism and success in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Should be at least junior/senior year of their studies, Associates or BA Degree preferred
  • Assist Senior Recruiter in sourcing candidates, daily phone calls/emails to candidates, conducting phone screens, assist in interviewing, as appropriate.
  • Assist Senior Recruiter in managing applicant tracking system
  • Assist Senior Recruiter in day to day recruiting needs
  • Contribute to social media project in various ways
  • Monitor and post job ads
  • Online outreach and promotion using Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and more

Qualifications and Skills
Those applying for this internship/part time position should be Marketing/Business or Language majors, with experience on the Web and a solid understanding of sales/recruiting.

Content Producers for NOOZ

NOOZ.TV is looking for passionate people to produce content for one of its many channels. All you need is a smartphone.

You can think of NOOZ as a local magazine but in a video format. NOOZ is targeting hundreds of markets across the US in the next 24 months but it is first launching in Wilmington and Charleston.

For a limited time, select content producers –we call them Casters– can be compensated by NOOZ.TV for their videos. 20 one minute videos can be paid up to $200. If interested, you must first undergo a short interview. Please email marc@nooz.tv

Charlotte-based Red Moon Marketing agency will be activating for two of its clients (Proctor & Gamble and Harris Teeter) for the Cooper River Bridge Run, coming up the first weekend of April. Summary: 

The eCommerce Program Specialist is responsible for daily operations associated with the execution of onsite merchandising, promotional, marketing and product activity for AutoZone.com.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with cross functional teams and agencies on promotions, marketing campaigns, pricing, inventory (FFC) for AutoZone.com and AutoZonePro.com
  • Work collaboratively with the in-house creative team to generate the appropriate digital content to optimize online campaign themes and performance. Understand process flow and manage effectively.
  • Facilitate required online merchandising asset availability (i.e. images, copy) for content management team. Work to create landing pages, links, URL’s, pickup information
  • Ensure that all digital marketing platforms are consistent with messaging and optimized for conversion without sacrificing an on-brand and seamless customer experience
  • Promotions tracking, coordination, and post-campaign results reporting. Log promotional pricing and analyze the effectiveness of the promotions. Ensure site product offering is aligned with e-commerce promotional calendar
  • Affiliate program monitoring and/or activation of promotional support
  • Consistently monitor the accuracy of product content, availability, etc.
  • Become proficient on all tools required for implementation

Requirements:

Internship with Oak Spring Garden Foundation

Library Research, Outreach, and Communications Intern

The Oak Spring Garden Foundation (OSGF) is a 501(c)3 private operating foundation based in Upperville, Virginia with a mission to perpetuate and share Rachel Lambert Mellon’s home, garden, estate and Library to serve the public interest. The Foundation is dedicated to inspiring and facilitating scholarship and public dialogue on the history and future of plants, including the culture of gardens and landscapes and the importance of plants for human well-being. The Oak Spring Garden Foundation (OSGF) is accepting applications for the Library Research, Outreach, and Communications position that advance the mission of the Foundation. The position(s) will have the following structure:

Schedule: Three months, full-time beginning in May/June 2019.

Location: Upperville, VA (housing provided, if needed)

The Oak Spring estate is located in rural northern Virginia, 15 minutes from the nearest town. Having access to a car is desirable, but not essential.

Payment: $11.50/hour (taxable) and employee will be provided with a private bedroom and

self-catering accommodation on the Oak Spring Estate (if needed).

Summary of Position:

OSGF is engaged in a major initiative to research and share our Library collections. The selected Intern, working with the Head Librarian and Program Officer, will be based in the Oak Spring Garden Library and tasked to research specific parts of the collection and translate that research into captivating outreach material in various formats. One especially important product will be a traveling exhibit that will include facsimiles of original works from the Library collection, as well as a companion online exhibit of the digitized versions of these works.

The intern will have the opportunity and responsibility to familiarize her/himself with materials in the Oak Spring Garden Library.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce engaging Library-related content for the OSGF social media and online accounts.
  • Research the Library’s collection to develop an original exhibit. To do so, the intern will consult with staff and external partners to:
  • conduct additional research to develop a list of physical materials from the Oak Spring Garden Library that are available for the exhibit;
  • create an interpretive plan that creates a clear storyline that is appropriate for elementary and high school audiences (and potentially broader audiences);
  • write clear and engaging label copy; and
  • gather lessons learned and model the exhibit developed in 2018 (view that exhibit here: https://www.osgf.org/sharing-our-collection-with-virginia-schools)
  • Facilitate the digitization and replication of original materials while tracking the project budget.

  • Support other Library-related activities, such as management of our collection management and database system, as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Current student (or recent graduate) pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in museum studies, English, art history, education, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in curating museum-quality exhibits. Experience in this field a plus.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Basic background knowledge of plants, gardens, and landscapes.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work and facilitate across teams.
  • Proficient in computing, including Microsoft Office.
  • Highly motivated and capable of acting as a self-starter.
  • A strong commitment to taking initiative and moving projects forward quickly, and in substantial and meaningful ways.

Working Conditions:

Position is indoor desk work.

Cognosante is accepting applications for our highly selective internship program. Focusing on real work, our internship offers you the opportunity to apply what you have been learning to our customer challenges and requirements. You will work in a team setting and will be expected to provide significant contribution to the final work product as defined by your manager when you begin your assignment. Additionally, you will work with all the interns on a project in our Design Lab. This unique opportunity provides you the experience of thinking “outside the box” to solve company and customer problems. You will create and put together execution plans that you present to our Executive Leadership Team for consideration and adoption.

To be considered for this program, you must have a GPA of at least 3.0 and must have demonstrated leadership experiences in your background. Experience with or demonstrated interest in the availability of affordable healthcare is highly desirable.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in an accredited four-year university
  • Minimum of 60+ credits earned by May 2019
  • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA
