Hi all, I’m Allison and I’m a rising junior here at the college and am participating in the Spoleto Study Abroad program! I’m a double major in English and History and a double minor in Women’s and Gender Studies and African American Studies. As you can probably tell from my chosen programs of study, I chose the Spoleto program for a multitude of reasons, not the least of which because it gave me a great jump on my English major. But as an avid history lover and as someone who grew up loving anything to do with Greco-Roman culture and Italian food, a trip to see a small Italian town and various other locales immediately jumped out to me. I’ve always wanted to be a more worldly person and to experience other cultures beyond the U.S, and so being able to do so especially at such a young age has been a lifelong goal of mine, and one I’m thrilled to be experiencing.
