A Snowy Day in Disneyland Paris by Savannah Petrelli

I consider myself a fan of Disney, so it was always on my bucket list to go to Disneyland Paris during my time abroad. I decided to wait to go until April so it would be warm, and I could enjoy the springtime. Little did I know, it would snow my entire April day in Disney.

Knowing that it would snow, I made sure to bring a warm coat, a hat, gloves, and hand warmers. I came prepared and ready for Disney. I started my day at 8am to take the RER train from Paris to Disney, about an hour out. I got to Disney early around 9am and waited outside for the park to open. The snow was already coming down hard and all the giant Mickey’s were covered in snow. It was exciting to see Disney in the snow as this would never happen in Orlando, Florida. Once inside, I enjoyed getting to see the park covered in snow and Disney characters playing outside. Elsa made an appearance which was very fitting.

I enjoyed a hot chocolate while walking through Alice in Wonderland’s Labyrinth. This was one of my favorite movies as a child, so it was exciting to see it come to life through the maze. It ended in the Queen of Heart’s castle. I got to ride Crush’s Coaster, Hyperspace Mountain, Tower of Terror, and many more! On my way to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, I even got to meet Jack Sparrow. To finish the day, I got to see the big parade with lots of characters like Peter Pan, Mary Poppins, Cinderella, Snow White, and many more. I then hopped on the train back to Paris, despite the snow, it was a beautiful day in Disney.
