Calvin Blackwell earned his B.A. in History and Economics from the University of Virginia and his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of New Mexico. Currently, he is professor and chair of economics at the College of Charleston. He has been a visiting professor at Texas A&M University and has taught economics at the University of New Mexico and to students in the Republic of Kazakstan. His research interests include experimental and behavioral economics, economic education, and public finance, and he has published papers in academic journals like the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, National Tax Journal, Public Finance Review, Journal of Economic Education and Economics Letters.
