Some of the hands-on activities you don’t want to miss: a pottery re-fit (an archaeology puzzle), dig boxes and a scavenger hunt. This year’s event will be a day-long program showcasing the park’s unique archaeological discoveries. Visitors will have the chance to handle artifacts, see an active dig site, and learn about the history and archaeology of the village. In addition to the archaeological festivities, a special living history demonstration provided by the Independent Company of South Carolina, Fort Dorchester Garrison will be ongoing throughout the day.
