Thank you to everyone who joined us for theĀ first speaker of the Lunch and Learn series. Hanna Attafi, a certified yoga teacher, mindfulness facilitator, and former CCSD teacher provided us with ways to incorporate mindfulness into our daily lives. As the busy holiday season approaches and then onto the second semester of the school year, we were thrilled to learn about methods for self-care, involving taking time out from the craziness of our lives to be in the present and just breathe. Hanna led us in a variety of meditation techniques while going over the amazing benefits that come with taking a few minutes out of the day for ourselves. There was overwhelming positive praise for the session with comments including “Love this!!! Favorite so far!”, “Very practical & useful approach for self-care”, “Passionate about bringing research to help us”, “Very calm – ready for a peaceful day! Thank you”, and “More of this! Truly enjoyable and different than any training I have done. Needed this!”.
