When in comes to incorporating the arts in school, sometimes it gets left behind. After schools programs are a great place to get students involved with music, arts, theater, etc.It gives them a chance to learn about themselves, grow their confidence and gain skills and knowledge that they might not get elsewhere. There are so many programs that focus on the arts in the Charleston area, that will be highlighted in next week’s post. One article about a program started at Oberlin Conservatory in Ohio is a great example of why keeping arts in after school programs is so important.
