The USC Anthropology Department & Anthropology Graduate Student Organization of Research and Ethics (AGORAE) are soliciting abstracts for papers and posters to be presented at SCASC 2019 on Saturday, April 13th. The conference will take place at the University of South Carolina-Columbia. Students from academic institutions across the state of South Carolina are invited to submit abstracts, as well as interested students from outside the state. SCASC will feature student presenters at both the undergraduate and graduate level. It will also provide a friendly forum for presenting a conference paper or academic poster, with constructive feedback from fellow students and professors. Students who present at SCASC will have the opportunity to choose from a selection of free anthropology books.
Abstracts should be 250 words or less with an included title, followed by the indicated format for presentation (Paper) or (Poster). Each student is eligible to submit one abstract. The student’s name, contact information, and affiliation should be included at the bottom of the page with the sponsoring faculty advisor’s name and contact information. The advisor will need to review the abstract before submission. Please e-mail all abstracts to Claudia Carriere at cfcarri@mailbox.sc.edu with “SCASC 2019 Abstract” in the subject line. Abstracts must be received by 11:59PM on Monday, March 18th, in order to have your name included within the SCASC 2019 program.
