- STUDY ABROAD IN RWANDA & UGANDA – Study abroad and gain credits in WGS and Psychology in next summer’s trip to Rwanda and Uganda! Students take two courses examining the psychological, political, and environmental after-effects of periods of violence, turmoil, and conflict. They will witness first-hand the sociocultural and environmental footprints left behind by violence and sustained poverty in developing countries. Students take courses in psychology and African studies, and have the option to take a course for WGS credit titled Negotiating Resources and Gender in Civic Spaces. - STUDY ABROAD IN CAMBODIA – Study abroad during next summer’s trip to Cambodia! Students take two courses (for Psychology or Environmental Studies credit) examining the psychological, political, and environmental after-effects of periods of violence, turmoil, and conflict. Through this program, students explore the pros and cons of international intervention and humanitarian aid, meeting and volunteering iwth organizations working to improve social, political, and environmental conditions (for both humans and other living species – including elephants!) on the ground.
