Mark your calendars! On Thursday, April 4 from 6:30-8:30pm the Stern Center Ballroom will be the event, Black Lives Matter: Looking at Charleston.
The lineup of the event will include two poetry performances and a keynote speaker! The opening performance will be Molly McConnell who is a local high-school student, inspiring poet, and activist. The second poetry performance will be by Marcus Amaker, who is Charleston’s Poet Laureate and an award-winning graphic designer. Finally, the keynote speaker for the evening is Thomas Dixon, who is a pastor, community activist, social justice leader, and is running for mayor of North Charleston.
