 Public Engagement

2018 – present “Carnegie Engaged Classification Application.” I collaborated with College of Charleston faculty under the direction of Professor Jen Wright to submit an application to be recognized as a community engaged institution.
2017 – 2018 “Engaged Citizens.” I led an effort comprised of high school seniors who implemented a school-wide recycling program in a county that had recently discontinued its recycling program.
2014 – 2015 Citizenship Club.” I partnered with Peggy Powell (Counselor, Earnest Horn Elementary, Iowa City Community School District) to implement a philosophy curriculum for a 5th and 6th grade pullout class that taught self-care practices and assisted students in producing a public service project, which each presented to Principal Kristin Cannon
