Senior Meredith Edwards
Senior Madison Edwards, History major and African Studies minor has been awarded a summer SURF grant for four weeks of research in Gambia and Senegal, Africa. Madison will research connections between the Lowcountry and West Africa and the Atlantic slave trade. She has promised to send us updates on her summer in Africa. Her advisor and mentor is Dr. Assan Sarr, Assistant Professor of History.
