Nominations are now being accepted for the 2012 ExCEL Awards. The Excellence in Collegiate Education and Leadership (ExCEL) Awards program honor faculty, staff, students, community groups, and/or individuals for promoting excellence and diversity at the College of Charleston. Nominations may highlight excellence in academic achievement, teaching, student learning/leadership, athleticism, individual contributions to the campus community, and/or professional, social, and cultural leadership.
You can submit your nominations through 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2012. The 2012 ExCEL Committee will not accept late nominations. Recipients of the awards will be revealed at the sixth annual ExCEL Awards Program on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at the Sottile Theatre. Nominate today on the Office of Multicultural Student Programs and Services website.
All nominations for the 2012 ExCEL Awards will be reviewed and adjudicated by the awards committee. All decisions of the committee are final. Members of the ExCEL Awards committee and past recipients are not eligible to receive awards. The ExCEL Awards recipients will receive recognition during the program, in the local newspapers, the Student Affairs newsletter, on the College’s and Multicultural Student Programs and Services websites, and in a widely distributed press release.
